The NOVOMATIC AG Group has been in Italy since 2007 and employs more than 4,000 people within the country, from its HQ in Rome, to its plant in Rimini on Via Galla Placidia, to its offices in Bolzano, Busto Arsizio and Imola, passing through the dozens of locations where its rentals and commercial offerings are located.
Services and technologies for the Italian gaming market
Today, Italy is one of the most important players in the domestic market and the Group's flagship in Europe. Over the years, NOVOMATIC Italia's offering in the Italian gaming market has expanded more and more, spreading the ADMIRAL brand to more than 300 directly operated gaming outlets and bingo halls.
The concessionaire ADMIRAL Gaming Network, is joined by the established retail gaming companies, Allstar and Alp, and, as of 2022, HBG Entertainment and HBG Online Gaming, holders of concessions for bingo, betting and online gaming.
Management
The NOVOMATIC Italia Group is led by Chairman Franco Sergio Rota, CEO Markus Buechele and COO Karl Plank. NOVOMATIC Italia's Board of Directors coordinates the management and directs the corporate organization.
Company Structure
NOVOMATIC Italia Spa, subject to the management and coordination of the holding company NOVOMATIC AG, controls several companies in Italy, divided into operating macro-segments:
- State Concessionaires: entities holding a state concession issued by ADM (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli) for the purpose of collecting physical and remote gaming.
- Gaming Operations
- Gaming Technology
- Payment Institution authorized by the Bank of Italy
Operating in the Italian market means acting within a system desired by the Regulator both through gaming concessionaires recognised by ADM following public tenders, and through companies dedicated to the provision of gaming and payment services and technologies.
History of NOVOMATIC Italia
NOVOMATIC started doing business in Italy in 2007, and tool over the name of NOVOMATIC Italia in 2014.
At the business level, the Group shows constant and widespread development throughout the country with both more traditional products such as AWP and more innovative ones such as VLT, including Bingo and betting, both landbased and online.
